Hanson Select Board Names Interim Town Administrator, Ratifies Police Promotions

HANSON — October 14, 2025 — Hanson Select Board ratifies two police promotions and names an interim town administrator. The board voted unanimously Tuesday to confirm contracts for Lieutenant Daly and Lieutenant Dargan, both recently promoted through what the chair described as a rigorous process, and ratified a contract with Kevin Dunovan to serve as interim town administrator effective October 14, with no end date set while the permanent administrator remains on medical leave. The board also accepted a library gift of $2,240.23, approved a one-day liquor license for Elizabeth Michelle on November 25, and voted to accept conflict-of-interest disclosures from two town employees — treasurer-collector staffer Lon and water department employee Carol Fizarero — after town counsel found no actual conflict in the hiring of Lon's son as an intern for the town accountant.
