Hanson Conservation Commission Closes Woodbine Garage Hearing After Applicant Withdrawal

HANSON — October 1, 2025 — Hanson Conservation Commission closes garage hearing after applicant withdrawal. The five-member board voted 5-0 at its October 1 meeting to close a public hearing for a proposed detached garage at 86 Woodbine Road after the applicants informed Commissioner Frank Skellinger they are withdrawing the project and selling the property, resulting in no Order of Conditions being issued. The board also voted 4-0 to continue a separate Notice of Intent hearing for a culvert replacement at Pratt Place to October 15, after the project engineer said materials would not be ready in time. In administrative business, commissioners agreed to pursue photo identification cards for members conducting conservation site visits after Property Management Coordinator TJ Mansfield described a confrontation in which a resident challenged his authority and "came at me rather aggressively." The commission's planned grand opening of the Clemens conservation property remains unscheduled after summer travel delays pushed the event back.
