Hanson Conservation presses enforcement on a Lakeside building violation while advancing pond and land deals. The commission, with Steve French, Ed Hill, Dave Mansfield and T.J. Roffey seated, voted 4-0-0 to continue a notice of intent hearing for 0 Adam Circle to October 21 and 4-0-0 to approve its September 2 minutes.
Conservation Agent Frank Skellinger reported a Lakeside property owner kept building after a violation notice, prompting a letter suspending building inspections until she obtains a conservation permit; she's now on the agenda for October 7. "I went yesterday, and it didn't look bad," Skellinger said of the site. Commissioners are also watching a $70,500 warrant article to treat Indian Head Pond, where estimated costs could exceed $10,000, and a small unbuildable parcel near existing conservation land the board hopes to acquire without a return trip to town meeting.
