Hanson Conservation Commission closes open hearings, sets 2026 meeting calendar

HANSON — December 17, 2025 — Hanson Conservation Commission closes three previously decided hearings and approves its 2026 meeting schedule. At the December 17 session, commissioners formally voted to close Notices of Intent for zero State Street at Old Pine Drive and 27 Woodbine, as well as an Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation for 12 Industrial Boulevard — all hearings on which decisions had been made at prior meetings but never formally closed. Commissioner Dave Mansfield reported the Select Board had signed the Thomas Mill conservation restriction the previous evening, with submission to the state Environmental Affairs office as the next step. Members approved a first-and-third-Wednesday meeting schedule running from January 7 through June 17, 2026. Trail work is underway or planned at the Sleeper property, State Street access to Webster Billings, and a new Holmes Street corridor into the Poor Meadow Brook conservation area, with the commission estimating four or five volunteers could clear the Holmes Street trail in three to four hours.
