Conservation · Meeting of August 19, 2026
HANSON — The Conservation Commission approved 72 Tavern Way driveway work 5-0 and continued the 808 West Washington Street hearing to Oct. 7. Engineer Joe Webby acknowledged a ditch and buffer were missed in the original filing for Kevin Perkins' project, which involves about 8,170 square feet of buffer disturbance; the commission agreed to roughly two-to-one native mitigation, with the order contingent on a planting plan. At 808 West Washington, a multi-family proposal drew flooding concerns from neighbors, and a member said "This is step one." No state DEP file number has been issued and the basin test pits are not yet dug.
The commission also added a $25,000 acquisition article to its draft town meeting warrant.
